To deliver on this promise, we recently conducted a nationwide study of employers safety education needs. Responding to the views of thousands of employers like you, we created our Workplace Training Program, a unique on-the-job training system that lets you select courses to meet your organizations specific first aid, CPR, AED, and injury control training needs.

With Workplace Training, it's easier than ever to provide the skills that can save employees lives and reduce potential risks, while reducing training time.

    Workplace Training meets the first aid guidelines identified by OSHA, as well as current
    guidelines for Emergency Cardiac Care.

    Reach More Employees
    Each course combines visual, auditory, and hands-on training to engage the range of
    learning styles. To ensure effective training for all, text is at sixth-grade reading level.

    Authorized Red Cross Instructors will assess your needs and work with you to focus
    training sessions on your unique risks and opportunities.

The American Red Cross Southwestern Pennsylvania Chapter offers flexible, convenient training options. Training can be scheduled on-site, any time of the day or evening, even Saturday. We'll take care of all the details, from determining the class that fits your needs to handling the course arrangements.

Studies show a $4 to $6 return for every dollar invested in health and safety training, with improvements in the costs associated with absenteeism, workers' compensation claims and productivity. With comprehensive, flexible programs, Red Cross training helps local employees stay prepared for virtually any life-threatening situation.

Workplace Training also lets you choose from a series of 1-hour, awareness-level modules on topics that help you take steps to reduce costly on-the-job injuries and key health risks. These modules are an efficient way to build safety awareness and promote healthier lifestyles.

Injury-Control Modules
These short segments can be 'added on' to workplace training. Examples include:
