Community Education
Disasters often occur without warning, but there is something that you can do to lessen the impact. Your local Red Cross offers educational opportunities for all ages in the community to learn about preparedness. Presentations address the tpes of disasters, what to do if a disaster strikes and emergency resources to have at all times. They may be tailored to suit your audience and accommodate your schedule.

Promise to Prepare
Emergencies do happen and those who are prepared have a much higher chance of survival and a quicker recovery. This lecture-style course gives participants essential disaster readiness information. Topics include how you can prepare, what to do when disaster strikes, first aid and emergency resources to have on hand at all times. Includes the basics of developing a family disaster plan and building a disaster supplies kit, incorporating information for those with special needs.
Audience: Individuals and Groups (Appropriate for high school students and adults)
